Blufire vs HYROS: ad tracking for performance marketers, or margin-true analytics for Shopify?
HYROS is server-side ad tracking and attribution built for performance marketers, with deep call and offline-sale tracking and conversion feedback to Meta and Google. Blufire reads every order, customer, channel and SKU in true contribution margin and ties it to your ledger. A fair comparison of two tools that answer different questions.
HYROS describes itself as ad tracking software for accurate ad performance data (hyros.com), and in its own words a "multi-touch ad attribution and conversion tracking platform designed for performance marketers running paid advertising campaigns across Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, and other ad platforms" (hyros.com). Its customers span ecommerce, SaaS, call-based B2B, courses, coaching and agencies (hyros.com). Its sharpest edge is long, messy sales cycles: booked calls, attended calls, close rates by sales rep and offline closes, all tied back to the ad that started them (hyros.com). Blufire is built for a narrower buyer and a different question. It is analytics for Shopify brands, and every view reads in CM1: revenue minus COGS, shipping, payment fees and returns. Attribution is one section of thirteen. The rest read the same margin maths across discounting, customer value, creative, inventory, forecasting and experiments, and the numbers reconcile to your accounting ledger. In short: HYROS answers "which ad produced this sale, including the sale that closed on a phone call three weeks later?" Blufire answers "after every variable cost, which channels, customers and products actually made money, and what should I change?" A high-ticket coach running webinars and sales calls is squarely HYROS territory. A Shopify brand whose problem is margin, not tracking, is Blufire territory. HYROS figures below were checked on its own pages on 30 September 2026. Some of those pages disagree with each other, and we say so where it matters.
Who each is for
Blufire
Blufire is margin-true analytics for Shopify brands. Every view is built on CM1 (revenue minus COGS, shipping, payment fees and returns) and reconciled to your ledger, to the dollar. Its own attribution compares models side by side and never treats Shopify last-touch as truth, and every other section reads the same CM1 maths: unit economics, discounting, customer value, personas, channels, creative, inventory, forecasting, financial models and experiments. Price is set by trailing twelve-month revenue, from A$219 a month, with every feature on every band and a 30-day free trial.
HYROS
HYROS is ad tracking and multi-touch attribution software for performance marketers, positioned for businesses spending US$10,000+ a month on ads and for long sales cycles such as calls, webinars and high-ticket deals (hyros.com). It uses server-side, first-party "print tracking", attribution windows up to a year, call and offline-close tracking, and sends conversions back through Meta's Conversions API, Google offline conversions and TikTok's Events API (hyros.com). It reports 5,000+ brands and US$5B+ in ad spend tracked (vendor-reported, https://hyros.com) and is rated 4.9 from 701 reviews on Trustpilot (trustpilot.com). Pricing scales with tracked monthly revenue (hyros.com).
Side by side
| Dimension | Blufire | HYROS |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Margin-true analytics for Shopify brands; attribution is one of 13 sections | Ad tracking and multi-touch attribution for performance marketers (hyros.com) |
| Headline number | CM1 per order, customer, channel and SKU, net of COGS, shipping, fees and returns | Attributed sales and ad ROI per ad, campaign and source, with LTV dashboards (hyros.com) |
| Tracking method | Reads Shopify, Klaviyo, Google and Meta through one-click connections; no tracking pixel of its own is advertised | Server-side first-party "print tracking", marketed as tracking up to 50% more conversions than browser pixels alone (hyros.com) |
| Attribution | Models compared side by side in one matrix, one published source-of-truth map; channels read in CM1 | Multi-touch attribution with windows up to one year (hyros.com) |
| Calls and offline sales | Not a Blufire feature | Call bookings, call quality, attended calls, close rates by sales rep and offline closes (hyros.com) |
| Feedback to ad platforms | Pushes margin-ranked audiences to Klaviyo, Google and Meta, then reads the round trip in CM1 | Sends conversion data to Meta CAPI, Google offline conversions and TikTok Events API (hyros.com) |
| Costs and profit | COGS, shipping, payment fees and returns subtracted on every order; unit costs read from Shopify, gaps flagged | Vendor describes profit-level attribution that accounts for COGS alongside ad spend (hyros.com); we found no COGS setup guide in its docs index (hyros-docs.vercel.app) |
| Ledger reconciliation | Every number reconciled to your accounting ledger, to the dollar | Not advertised on the pages we checked |
| Beyond attribution | Discount ledger, margin-true RFM and lifecycle, creative ranked by margin, inventory, forecasting, MMM, geo-lift and holdouts | AIR remarketing agent (separate subscription), account AI analyst and Claude MCP interface (https://hyros.com/llms.txt, https://hyros.com/pricing-ai-tracking) |

Honest read
Where Blufire is stronger
- Every view reads in CM1, net of COGS, shipping, payment fees and returns, so an ad that looks efficient on attributed revenue but sells low-margin or high-return products shows up as the loss it is.
- The numbers reconcile to your accounting ledger, to the dollar, so the figure the marketer quotes is the figure finance recognises.
- Attribution is read alongside everything else that decides margin: discount codes, returns, repeat purchase, stock and creative, all on the same CM1 maths.
- Experiments that prove incremental margin: geo-lift tests, email holdouts and ad holdouts with a verdict and confidence interval in CM1, rather than relying on any single attribution model.
- Customer analytics built on margin: lifetime value in margin terms, lifecycle states, margin-true RFM and personas, each drillable to the customer list.
- Published, flat band pricing: you know the price from your revenue band before you talk to anyone, and every band gets every feature.
Where HYROS is stronger
- Tracking of long and offline sales cycles that Blufire does not attempt: booked calls, attended calls, close rates by sales rep and offline closes, tied back to the ad (hyros.com).
- Server-side, first-party tracking with attribution windows up to one year, useful where platform pixels undercount (hyros.com).
- Conversion feedback into ad platform algorithms through Meta CAPI, Google offline conversions and TikTok Events API (hyros.com).
- Broad fit across business models: ecommerce, SaaS, call-based B2B, info products, coaching and agencies (hyros.com), with integrations such as Stripe, GoHighLevel, ClickFunnels and CallRail (hyros.com).
- Hands-on onboarding: its plans list a full set-up team, an account AI analyst and weekly training (hyros.com), and Trustpilot reviewers frequently praise support (trustpilot.com).
- A strong public reputation: 4.9 from 701 Trustpilot reviews (trustpilot.com), and a guarantee on its pricing page that if you are not satisfied with ad ROI, you do not pay (hyros.com).
Which should you choose
Choose Blufire if
- You run a Shopify brand and your question is margin: which channels, customers and SKUs make money after COGS, shipping, fees and returns.
- You need analytics that tie out to the ledger before finance will act on them.
- Discounting, returns, repeat purchase or stock are where your margin leaks, and you want them read alongside attribution.
- You want to prove incrementality with geo-lift tests and holdouts, not only credit sales to ads.
- You want one published price by revenue band with every feature included.
Choose HYROS if
- Your sales close on calls, webinars or in a CRM, and you need to tie those offline closes back to the ad that started them.
- You sell courses, coaching, SaaS or high-ticket services rather than running a Shopify store.
- You spend heavily on paid ads and your main gap is tracking accuracy and feeding better conversion data back to Meta, Google and TikTok.
- You want a set-up team and ongoing training included with the tool.
- You need attribution windows up to a year for long consideration cycles.
